General FAQ’s

What is a VRC (Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor)?

A VRC is a Material Lift that easily and efficiently transports materials & products vertically or between levels. It is designed to move loads to and from mezzanines, basements, balconies or between floors.

A Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor IS NOT an Elevator and is not subject to elevator codes.

What are the benefits of using a VRC?

Safe, easy & fast vertical transportation of materials & products of various sizes & weights

> Increased productivity while reducing manpower requirements
> Cost effective to install, operate & maintain as opposed to elevators

Product FAQ’s

What is the Soft-Start/Soft-Stop Control option?

These controls allow for smooth acceleration and deceleration at each level. This option is desirable when transporting delicate loads or if the Lift is used in an automated system that requires exact leveling or positioning with the selected level.

What is Material Load Height?

The Load Height is the maximum height of items to be loaded onto the platform carriage. The Load Height varies for each of the material lifts we manufacture:

Cantilever Material Lifts

2-Post (Straddle) Material Lifts

72"

Pallet Master Modular Material Lifts

4-Post Material Lifts

What is Loading Height?

The Loading Height is the distance from the loading floor level to the platform carriage.

The Loading Height varies from flush with the ground level to 36” above it.

Remember, whether the Lift is surface or pit mounted will have an effect on the Loading Height.

All Pit mounted Lifts will have flush Loading Heights. Surface mounted Lifts can be supplied with optional loading ramps.
